It was 1982, or something. The less remembered about the early 80’s the better, i think. Anyway, the important thing was that i was a kid and Cabbage Patch Kids were hotter than a lock of Farrah Fawcett’s hair (which, incidentally, weighed about three pounds. Fast Fact!).
i remember my mom asking me about the dolls, and i remember not knowing anything about them. i did overhear her talking to some other adults about how they were really hard to get and that people had to wait in line-ups and stab each other or whatever to snag them. i didn’t desperately want one, but my mom desperately wanted me to have one. It was that kind of toy.
